Description
Buck wasn’t always part of a dogsled team. He starts off life in sunny California, but he is sold and sent to the frozen north of the USA and Canada during the gold rush before the turn of the twentieth century. The story describes the harsh life of the dogs and the special relationship that develops between man and dog under these difficult conditions.
The Call of the Wild was written by Jack London. His experiences of taking part in the Klondike gold rush provided the material for this novel.
